Does Kesit send my screen content to the cloud?

No. All processing happens entirely on your Mac. Screen captures are analysed using Apple Vision OCR and Apple Intelligence (FoundationModels) — both run locally on your device. No data ever leaves your Mac.

Does Kesit use any third-party AI services?

No. Kesit exclusively uses Apple's native on-device frameworks. No data is sent to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other external provider.

What happens to my captured code after extraction?

Captures are stored locally in a SwiftData database on your device as "Snaps". You can browse, search, and delete them at any time. They are never transmitted externally.

Why does AI-powered code cleanup seem limited on my Mac?

Full AI-powered code cleanup and agentic Skills require macOS 26 or later with Apple Intelligence enabled. On older systems, Kesit provides deterministic OCR extraction without AI refinement. Both modes are fully functional and private.

How do I grant screen recording permission?

Kesit uses macOS screen recording to capture code from your screen. On first launch, macOS will prompt you to grant access. If needed, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen Recording, enable Kesit, then relaunch the app.

How do I restore my purchase on a new Mac?

Kesit uses a one-time lifetime purchase via the App Store. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID and will automatically restore when you download Kesit on any Mac signed in with the same Apple ID.

How do I cancel my free trial?

The 7-day free trial requires no payment method and ends automatically. You are never charged unless you explicitly choose to purchase the lifetime unlock.
